Red Pond

One day there was a frog named kip. Kip loves to play in the water most of the day. At night he finds a nice lily pad and sleeps untill early morning. One night Kip found the best lily pad in all of the pond. As he was heading for it Namond, a huge ugly toad, took it first! Kip shrugged this off and thought maybe next time he will get it. Namond did get to the pad first, all is fair.

The next day, after a long swim Kip decided on taking a rest on a nice dry rock to count his yellow spots. No one was on the giant rock, the one closest to the sun, and this was Kip's chance to be on it for the first time. Kip was almost to the top, he could feel the rough bolder under his webbed feet. As Kip was about to place himself on top Namond pushed him out of the way. Kip fell all the way down the rock and looked back at Namond, who returned Kip's stare with a scowal and plopped himself right under the sun then closed his eyes.

Kip was furious! This is the second time namond stole the place Kip wanted. How would Kip ever enjoy himself if namond is always there taking it?

Kip waited and waited, until it was dark and the frogs would be out to find their lily pads. Kip watched as Namond took the best lily pad from the other frogs around.

Kip jumped out from behind a rock and ribbited so loud all the frogs turned to look, even Namond. All the frogs were fixed on Kip as rage built up inside him. Kip reached behind him quickly and pulled out an AK47! The frogs went crazy and Kip ribbited them to be quite. He aimed his gun at Namond and shot, he shot so many times. Namond wasnt the only frog hit, the whole pond turned red. In the rage Kip made it to his lily pad and shot holes in the others and more in Namonds mangled corps.

When all the bullets were fired Kip landed on his back to watch the moon cross the black sky on this lily pad, a smile came to Kip's face. He closed his eyes and listened to what he knew would come next. Ribbits siren in the back ground, he was going away. He would be taken and never return, the smile faded. Kip stood up to face the frogs ready to take him in, he pointed his empty gun to the crowed. Shots fired everywhere and Kip landed in the red pond, never to swim again.
